Top 4: Most Memorable 2009 Moments in Pinoy INTERVIEWS

4. TV Patrol's Interview with Hayden Kho's Mother - maganda ang intention ng interview, Hayden's camp wanted to clean Hayden's image and gain sympathy by showing that he was raised by a very religious mother who's suffering because people are judging her son by the Sex Videos he made. They made sure that they were able to show how religious Mrs. Irene Kho is, by showing a Groto in the background and making her hold a Rosary and quote the Bible.

However, they were a lot of things that drew people's attention away from the message that they were trying to send, isa na dun ay ang paulit-ulit na re-assurance ni Mrs. Kho na "ayaw na niyang magsalita", when in fact, Karen Davilla even needs to call her attention several times before she would stop talking and let Karen ask her a question. Also,  Mrs. Kho had her eyes close thoughout the interview, which made people think that she was just sleep talking. The inteview just added damage to Hayden's image and ended up having Hayden do an interview to explain what his Mother did.

3. Carlo J. Caparas with Che Che Lazaro - "Comics King" Carlo Caparas wanted to defend his National Artist Award for Visual Arts and Films by going on Che Che Lazaro's show and having a debate with Alex Tioseco and Dr. Jose Dalisay Jr.. His points was clear, dapat daw siyang maging National Artst for VISUAL ARTS and FILM dahil kilala ang kanyang mga obra sa buong bansa at dahil marunong daw siya gumuhit (which he proved by bringing his illustrations with him).

But Mr. Caparas made the interview so personal by turning the issue back to him and by throwing personal attacks to the other guests. He even made it worst by defending the President from her ditractors, and by bashing the Elite society (some of which are his neighbors on their home in Ayala Alabang) and claiming that he passed the NCCA screening, which he did not. The conferment of the Natl Artists Award for Carlo and 6 others was blocked by the Supreme Court last August.

Bars and Restaurants: Sex With Ketchup Please

10 Years ago, if you ask someone something like "Tara, SEx tayo!" you will end up getting a big hand mark on your face, ask someone the same question today and you'll hear them answer "Tara!" in less than a second. Why? Cause SEx hasn't tasted better than ever before! With all the eggs, hotdogs and hot sauce, SEx is surely the yummiest and most affordable way to eat outside nowadays.

"Sinangag Express" or popularly known as "SEx" is a small 24-Hour restaurant chain that offers one of Filipinos' favorite

Bars and Restaurants: It's Huerto with an "H".

I recently had one of my birthday celebrations held at Huerto, a bar and restaurant located at Casimiro, Las Pinas. Huerto has been one of my favorite places to have fun lately. Ang gusto ko sa palce na to is the ambiance, it can fit any mood. Even if you're a party animal or gusto mo lang mag-chill, this place will soothe you.

Also, it is big, and can accomodate lots of people, at yun talaga ang isa sa imprtante sa isang lugar para sa akin, it needs to be big enough to not make me feel suffocated and for my Claustrophobia not to attack.

Blogs: Who's Jealous of Bryanboy?

The most successful Pinoy blogger in the world wide web, BryanBoy has combined the world of blogging and fashion in a very narcissistic yet charming way. Because of his blog's success, he was able to meet almost all, if not all, of fashion's top names and a-list celebrities. He was even able to attend exclsuive fashion shows and events. And honestly, the only reason why I follow his blog is because I'm super jealous, ah haha.

But the thing I like about bryanboy the most is

Movies: Why Star Cinema's "In My Life" Is So Special

It was the same time last year, I was an intern at Star Cinema, when I first heard that Vilma Santos and John Lloyd Cruz are going to make a movie together. I then, read some part of the script and found out about "the kiss", the endings, and who's gonna play who. Since then, I've waited for news about this movie, searched for behind the scenes info and even watched the full trailer premiere. A year later, I'm inside the movie house with my mom, watching two guys kiss., laughing at Ate Vi and crying over John Lloyd's grieve. I must say, it's one of the best movie experience I've ever had in years.

It's a very different Vilma

Bars and Restaurants: Jollibee Super Meal Super Tagal

When you work in a call center, time means a lot! Especially, during lunch, where you  are given less than an hour to eat a meal and do all other extra things in a very limited time, that's why fast food chains are created. So it's really frustrating when you go to a "fast" food restaurant, then order your emal, and they ask you if you can wait for 10 minutes before you can have it, and you agree to wait, only to find out that you've been waiting for 40 minutes and your food is not there yet.

First of all,

Fashion: Think Positive, Wear NegativiTEE.

I'm never really a fan of statement shirts, especially those nasty ones which tells you too much information about someone that you really don't want to know about. (e.g.  "Feeling Virgin Pa Rin").

There's an exception however, I found a statement shirt store at Alabang Town Center, it's called NegativiTEE, they feature a line of black t-shirts that has only one word printed on front of it, a negative word that is.

I liked it because it's not common. It stands out. it requires you to have a certain attitude while wearing it. And I always believed on flaunting your flaws and embracing your imperfections. So It really fits my personality, and that's something that is very important when buying a statement shirt. It has to represent who you.

One thing that's nice about it is that, it feels great to see someone else wearing the same shirt at the same time as you are, with a different word on it, I can't explain it, you'll have to find it out yourself. Ah haha.

Anyway, ikaw, what does your statement shirt say?

Movies: Kimmy Dora Made Me Craugh

One of the funniest Filipino movie I've ever seen! I have to say, Eugene Domingo is one of the most brilliant actresses of this generation, It takes a really smart lady to portray the characters of Dora, and especially Kimmy. I swear, on the first few minutes of the film, I forgot that the two lead characters are being portrayed by only one person. Bravo!

The story was good,  I know the intention was to make you laugh and cry at the same time, the cry part, I'm not so sure. Masyadong pilit. And since it's a Joyce Bernal comedy, there's a lot of inside jokes among the cast and crew that she decided to show on film, which I really don't find funny since I can't relate. And the dog jokes? Hindi na kailangan.

Books: Para Kay B (O Kung Paano Dinevastate ng Pag-ibig ang 4 out of 5 sa atin) ni Ricky Lee

I googled different reviews about this book that I think expresses how I feel about it too.

"made me thought that the ending could be more interesting,"
-jovee

"a very visual novel, replete with full fleshing out of the 5 female characters and descriptive passages that lend color, smell, taste to the world these 5 women move in."
-gilbert yap tan

"This is something that I did enjoy while reading this book: the metafictional aspect-the awareness of the characters that they are characters, the actualization of the process of a writer as he creates his characters.
