14 Types of Single People and Songs That Fits Them

Happy SAD! Are you celebrating “Singles Awareness Day” this year? Well you’re not alone, according to survey, more than half of online networking sites users are single people, which I believe is true, just look within your circle of friends, how many of them are actually single and how many are taken? The numbers are almost equal right? So you don’t have to pout that pretty lips and sit at the corner this Valentines Day, besides, I believe that Valentines’ Day is just a way of torturing single people by making them feel bad about being alone.

Anyway, here are some songs for you to enjoy this Singles Awareness Day, just decide on what type of single person you are from the following list. Be honest.

The Happy and Independent = those who decided to be alone but not lonely. It’s either they have other priorities in life than having a love life, or they just don’t feel that they need another person to make them happy or to make their life complete. These people are single by choice and not by faith. They enjoy the single life to the fullest.
For Him: This Afternoon by Nickelback
“We drink up, we fall down and then we do it all again.”
For Her: Happy Face by Destiny’s Child
"I'm living, I'm able, I'm breathing, I'm grateful, to put on my happy face.”
The Strong and Proud –those who just came out from a relationship, and yet, they don’t feel sad about it, it might be because they are just too proud to cry over someone who doesn’t deserve their tears or they just saw it coming that they became prepared before it even came to an end. Or maybe, they are too ashamed to admit that someone who’s uglier than them was able to break their heart.
For Him: See You In My Nightmares by Kanye West
“Tell everybody that you know that I don't love you no more.”
For Her: Brave by Idina Menzel
“If this is the last chance before we say goodbye, At least it's the first day of the rest of my life.”
The Rebounder = those whose tears had run dry and finally got tired of crying their heart out. These people finally realized that life is just better when that person is gone and they just learned that, when it comes to heartbreaks, what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. I’m talking about serious people who just came from a deep relationship here, not just those who can move on easily because they can’t spend two minutes of their life without a boyfriend/girlfriend.
For Him: Happy Now by Bon Jovi
“Got hope in my veins I'm telling you I ain't going back to the pain.”
For Her: Let This Song Cry by Jesse
“My tears won't fall anymore, they're dried up”
The Pretenders – those who’s still hurting inside, the ones who’s not ready to jump into a relationship yet because they feel that they are not whole again. They pretend they are ok, but at the end of the day they still miss that special person who haunts them on their dreams. They wake-up crying in the middle of the night because they can’t take the pain anymore.
For Him: Lucky Me by Chris Brown
“Even when my world's falling down I still wear a smile”
For Her: My Hands by Leona Lewis
“I put on my makeup, talking to the mirror, ready for a new day without you”
The Flirt = for those whose been single for quite sometime, and is ready to get back on the love game again (as if they ever left). This is also for those whose never been attached to someone because they enjoy the art of mingling around with different people. In other words…
        For Him: Troublemaker by Akon
“They looked at me and said, "I heard that you're a heartbreaker"
For Her: Get In Line by Ke$ha
"but if you wanna get a piece of this heart of mine boy stop; get in line.”
The Lonely Heart = those whose hearts just got broken, but in a very nice and gentle way, it’s that kind of break-up that is rare nowadays, the one that’s not too dramatic and attention seeking. No status updates drama, pretending that you’re in “The Buzz” giving an interview to Tito Boy while trying to hold back your tears. This is a break-up that is just peaceful and sad.  (Aww…)
For Him: Happy Ending by Mika
“This is the hardest story that I've ever told.”
For Her: Speechless by Lady Gaga
“And after all the drinks and bars that we've been to, would you give it all up?”
The Bitter - Those whose hearts got trashed, people who were left by their partner for either another person or for some space.  It’s either those two or their partners are just a big waste of human tissue who doesn’t deserve to be loved, and the sad part is, they still did love them. Because of this, they are doing everything they could to get back to the person who hurt them, and most of the time they rely on the internet to do it. I hope there is a website made specifically for just bitter people so I’m not forced to read their update status on my facebook feed.
For Him: Blind by Jason Derulo
“Never thought that I'd say wish I didn't love you ever.”
For Her: Not Big by Lily Allen
“how would it make you feel if I said you never made me cum?”
The Desperate = those who decided to be in a relationship but no one is deciding to be in a relationship with them, these are those people whose been mingling forever, they tried every formula but nothing seems to work.  They are the ones who pray everyday for a miracle to happen. But still for some reason, their relationship status stays the same.
For Him: Desperate by David Archuleta
“You want somebody, just anybody to lay their hands on your soul tonight.”
For Her: Soulmate by Natasha Bedingfield
“Somebody tell me why I'm on my own If there's a soulmate for everyone.”
The Waiters- those who’s still hoping that their ex will comeback to them and feel that their ex still loves them. So they keep themselves available so that whenever he/she decides to comeback, they are ready to accept them again. These are those people who you just wanna hit a hard pillow on the head, a real pillow that is.
For Him: Still Ain’t Over You by Rob Thomas
“I've been living like there’s nothing to lose and I'm telling you now that I still ain’t over you.”
For Her: P.S. I’m Still Not Over You by Rihanna
“I know we haven't spoken for a while but I was thinkin bout you and it kinda made me smile.”
The 3rd Party – this doesn’t need any further explanation, but I'll explain anyway, it’s simple, they are in-love with people who are not single anymore. So technically and “legally”, they are single. Let’s not judge them, we all know that sometimes, love can make us forget our reasons.
For Him: Lie To Me by Ne-Yo
“Please make me believe that there is nobody for you but me”
For Her: I Can Be by Aliyah
“I can be all the things you thought she might”

The Self Torturer = those who are in love with someone who doesn’t love them back. Most of the time, these people are in love with their closest friends, and their friend is in love with someone else. Ouch. What a pretty way to hurt yourself. Sometimes though, these are those who ruined their chances of being with someone by announcing to everybody that they like that person. Not a very smart move was it?
For Him: Just Friends by Jay Sean
“There were so many times that I thought you knew.”
For Her: Self Inflicted by Katy Perry
“Don't care if I lose, Baby you are the weapon I choose.”
The Frozen Hearted – those who’s been hurt badly before, and that promised to never love again. They focus on other things, try to keep themselves busy. Their idea of love is a lie, an illusion made to make them cry. So they’ll never love again, not as long as their alive. Wow, that’s deep.
For Him: I Don’t Wanna Fall In Love by Green Day
"This may sound a little rough. Don't wanna fall in love.”
For Her: If I Were You by Tamia
“Find someone who won't hurt you, Make sure that she still believes in love.”
The Emotionally Single – they are in a relationship, but they are not different from single people. Yes, they have a better half, but they are not in love anymore or were never in love at the first place. They celebrate Valentine’s Day but at the end of the day, they are single people pretending to have each other, just for the sake it.
For Him: Separate Ways by Craig David
“Shut the door as there ain't no love here anymore”
        For Her: Mean by Pink
“Now do we stay together 'cause were scared to be alone?”
The Choosey –They are ready but they are not looking for someone desperately. Steady lang, just taking it slow. They can live normally even without having a love life. But if someone comes along, they would still entertain them, only if the person fits their standards of course.
For Him: Short Skirt, Long Jacket by Cake
“I want a girl who gets up early; I want a girl who stays up late”
For Her: 21 Things I Want In a Lover by Alanis Morisette
“Are you both masculine and feminine, politically aware, and don't believe in capital punishment?”
